Just a 3 minute walk from the house is Heritage Park. It hosts lots of festivals and concerts each year, including Apple Butter Day, where apple butter is made on location. Fireworks are launched on Independence day and the back yard of 537 Cherry is the perfect place to view them. There is also a large pond for fishing and a nature trail that winds around the park. From the house, around the trail, and back to the house is roughly an 0.8 mile walk, perfect for walking a dog or taking in the fresh morning air.

The Columbus Metro Park system is vast, beautiful, fun, and easily accessible. Numerous miles of safe, paved and unpaved bike trails provide hours and hours of fun without ever having to be on a busy road. Within minutes of leaving the house by bicycle, the bike trails can be joined that can lead all over the metro area.

Groveport has a lot to offer, especially within walking distance from the house! There are picnic areas, tennis courts, a senior center, several parks, and there is always something going on at the Groveport Town Hall.

Just a five minute drive from the home is also every conceivable fast food restaurant, HomeDepot, Kroger, Wal-Mart, and every type of church. There are six universities within 10 miles of Groveport, offering school and career opportunities. Just 15 minutes away is Downtown Columbus. With its ongoing revitalization, there is a festival, exhibit, or activity downtown almost every weekend during the summer.
